The end of the year looms large. Business at Legends Promotional Products remains buoyant with some big orders clinched and regular customers returning for repeat business.
It is easy to get caught up in the here and now so I am doing as much forward planning as possible for 2012 and identifying organisations I would like to work with or build links to. A number of meetings have been arranged over the next few weeks but I still need to chase a few more
This week I was delighted to fulfill repeat orders for Derek Wilson from Distribution Unlimited, the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Perth & Kinross Association and Kilgraston School.
I enjoyed a great chat with Derek about how he has built his door-to-door leaflet distribution business through high levels of customer service and word of mouth.
Stewart Campbell from Tigershark.tv has very kindly produced a short video for my YouTube Channel which will be posted shortly. Last summer Stewart was commissioned to produce the official video for The Alliance Trust Cateran Yomp and did a quick interview with me during the event.
Despite working away in the garden over the summer and getting out and about as much as possible, I discovered that my fitness levels were lacking somewhat recently when I took part in my first Kettlebell class run by Perth-based Steve Bonthrone.
I was blowing through my a*** - as they say – very quickly and struggled to complete the class. So this week I have been in the gym three times and sweated away like a good ‘un on the rowing machine and cross trainer. I’ve really enjoyed it and wonder why I have managed to make excuses not to go.
Another good week was rounded off at the East Fife Sportsmans Dinner on Friday night. I was a guest of Eugene Clarke one of the club’s Directors and a partner in People Growth.
Lots of laughs on the night which was compered by Jimmy Stirling. We also heard from current East Fife boss John Robertson and Jimmy Nichol. The material wasn’t for those with delicate ears!
And finally cheers for Edinburgh Rugby, in coming up with a fantastic away win v London Irish in the first round of the Heineken Cup, and Glasgow Warriors with their wonderful home win v Bath. Now, let’s back these wins up next week and make it four from four.
